Letter from a faction of the community

Below is a letter from F.O.R.E. calling for the Superintendent to stay beyond next year.  It calls for Mr. Colter, who has announced that he will be moving on after next year to stay.

  1. Wow. Ms. DiMeglio and I live in alternate universes, mirroring each other in eerie contrast. Everything written above seems exactly the opposite to me and hundreds of parents and taxpayers I've talked to out there. It's like we both saw the sun today, but couldn't agree if it were light out or not.

Isn't this the same Superintendent who commented in Fosters today on an ongoing investigation, involving an underage student charged with a criminal act, and possibly involving illegal drug use? Answering the reporter's call to say anything other than "no comment" is just unfathomable behavior. He'd be ass-chewed, if not warned or even fired, at almost any other respectable district in NH, for that single boneheaded act.

FORE has some laudable goals, and some great people involved. But they simply have to get their head around the reality that this district will simply not move forward until Mr. Colter is behind us. To get out of this darkness and into the light, we need to buy out his contract and reboot.

This can and will happen. So why wait another year?
