I have been fighting for increased accountability, communication and transparency in this District for almost 3 years. I am very pleased that the Board finally recognized and agreed to a budget advisory committee. As an advocate for this committee and given my background of almost 11 years in finance for the State of MA, I sent my credentials to the Board yesterday to serve on this committee.

If you are concerned about the future of our schools and the sustainability of spending policies and practices, you cannot sit on the sidelines. Please get involved. Even if you cannot serve on this committee, you can be involved in many other ways--watch Board meetings, stay engaged on the blog, pay attention and vote for strong leaders in March.

  5. I sent my letter of interest and resume in today. I currently manage UNH's $500 million budget and financial management and have been working on non profit budgeting and financial management issues my entire career. I am also an active volunteer in the community and have three children in the ORCSD. I am hopeful I will be selected to this committee.
