New School Board - New, Long Range Plan

Now that the new School Board has been elected, it's time to consider the District's priorities. Where do you feel there should be change? What is working well? Are there programs / opportunities you would like to see for your children?

What do we want to see in the District's long range plan?

I hope we can use this forum to express thoughts, ideas and considerations.

I am confident the new Board will listen to suggestions, so let's start providing some input!

    Just incase anyone was wondering school board meetings are now being posted online at http://orcsd-ortv.blogspot.com/
    we are trying to get meetings up as soon as possible after they air but it takes time to upload. in most cases the meeting will be available by the end of the day thursday after the meeting.
    Hope this becomes a great recourse to everyone!

    In the District's long range plan, I would like to see an elementary foreign language program. Every study shows that the earlier children hear and learn another language, the better they will be in speaking, understanding and continuing to learn it throughout their school career and beyond.
    Thank you to the school board for all your hard work.
