Dean Rubine, who operates the ORCSD Clean Slate blog, has asked us to post the following:
Upset that David Taylor was voted onto the ABC? It would have been nice to be able to say so at the school board meeting when it happened. But you can't. The school board, many of whose members campaigned on "listening", eliminated the second round of public comments, the one at the end of the meeting. I'm asking people to sign the petition at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/orcsd-comments/ to restore these public comments. If recent attendance is any indication, it usually wouldn't add more than 10 minutes to the meeting.
Why didn't I just post this on my on blog? I did. (http://orcsdcleanslate.blogspot.com/2012/05/petition-to-restore-public-comments-at.html) Before I did there were 17 signatures. Now there are 18. Thanks, honey.
Full disclosure: David Taylor is the author of the petition.

David Taylor appointed to ABC
David Taylor, who has made a second career out of suing the Oyster River school district, was again appointed to serve on the District’s Advisory Budget Committee on May 16. School Board members Barth, Charle, Howland and Newkirk voted for his appointment; Butts, Lane, and Turnbull against.
Mr. Taylor posted a video of the discussion and vote on his YouTube channel. Curiously, comments critical of the Board’s decision were promptly deleted.
As a public service, we are posting a link to the video here: http://youtu.be/-OWfjY8Gfxg. We invite you to make any comments you might have here on our site, where we operate free of censorship.
